Canton: The El Salvadorian term for a tiny village-is actually a jurisdictional area-kind of like an administrative district

CBI: Stands for something- basically is a pre-school/pre-k

CD: Country Director-head of PCES, has pretty much the final say about everything

CDE: Consejo Directiva Escolar- Parent and Teacher Representatives that meet monthly to approve spending and support the school with activities, etc.

EE: Environmental Education

HP: Health Promoter

IST: In-Service Training

LC: La Comunidad-my home

NGO: Non-Governmental Organization

PC: Peace Corps

PCES: Peace Corps El Salvador
